Tightening Computer Security

This article has some good reasons why, if you haven’t already, you should upgrade to Service Pack 2 if you are running Windows XP.

Apparently Microsoft did a silly thing. They left the security permissions for My Computer wide open in windows.

Let’s make this clear, this isn’t a flaw just in XP. This is a flaw in every version of windows. So if you are still running ME, 98, NT, or 95, you are NOT safe from this bug. Since Microsoft is not issuing a patch for these older OSs, I am seriously considering switching to Linux, because it’s free and because I believe that there is such a thing as being overly user friendly. XP crosses that line, and how.

I just wonder if sony has released a version of sonicstage for any of the nix flavors. Gonna have to go e-mail them about that..
