A fearful power
Just read it. It says everything I want to say about the historically ludicrous actions of our congress and president, and more.
Keep in mind, that I’m generally conservative as you read this piece. Certainly, this whole ordeal has damaged my faith in our president and our government beyond repair.

I am very unhappy that the federal government got involved, but at the same time I think the slippery slope arguments on both sides of this debate are overwrought.
It is unlikely that the government will be doing this sort of thing absent the intense media storm that the Schiavo case generated.
And for those who worry that there will be more euthanasia, cases like Terri’s are delt with all the time, sometimes by removing feeding tubes, and the world hasn’t ended yet.
