		<description>Terri isn&#039;t handicapped.  If this were just a matter of her being handicapped, I might agree, but she&#039;s not.  There is a big, black.. hole in her brain where sentience and cognitive function reside.  A hole.  The part of her that was living, and thinking for herself is gone.  That&#039;s why all of this is such a huge debate. What kind of quality of life is that? 

Who are we to take away Michael Schiavo&#039;s power of attourney in these circumstances?  The guy may be a scumbag, but he&#039;s still her husband, and it&#039;s still his legal right to make that choice for her.  If you don&#039;t trust your spouse to make that decision for you, and stick to it, when the time comes, I suggest you get a divorce.</description>

I nobel prize nominee doctor said that she is fully aware of her surroundings and in time could even regain speech and some sort of a normal life, as best she could with her current condition.

This is not a woman completely being sustained by equipment.

At what point do we kill off the handicapped because they are too much of a bother to keep around?</description>
