It lets any joe comment, but it will be held in moderation until you can verify that they are infact 'good commenters'. Also - you are probally going to want to get one of the wordpress anti-spam tools - I use <a href="http://greg.nokes.name/2005/07/08/bad-behavior/" rel="nofollow">Bad Behavior,</a>, but there are a pletora of them out there. Welcome to the real blogging world! :)
