Ghost in the Shell SAC 2nd Gig. Volume 2
The second volume of this series does not fail to appease fans with continued gorgeous visuals and amazing story.
I don’t have many improved remarks here because I refuse to spoil the story of this absolutely incredible show. Suffice it to say that volume 2 continues where volume 1 left off and keeps right on rolling through. I’m still enjoying the series and am not seeing a decline in quality between the first and the second volumes.

On the I bought, the 3rd episode ends at the point
where the team parachute down (with Gohda strapped
to Batou’s back). Does this sound like a faulty DVD?

It’s possible, but I’ve never had these problems with a release from Bandai. Bandai is the North American distributor for 2nd Gig, it may be different for you if you’re not in North America. I can tell you that the North American DVD does not have this glitch and this episode does continue after this scene.
There are no reports for this glitch on http://www.animeondvd.com so it might be isolated to your region. I suggest sending an email to the company that distributed your DVD and requesting a replacement.

The store swapped it over, no problem. They tried my copy and observed the problem, and tried one from their replacement batch sent by the distributor, and it was fine. The distributor was Madman/Bandai,
region 4.
