Obsession’s Villanelle

In my dreams, you possess me
With your gentlest caress.
No place else I’d rather be.
In the sacred sphere of the dream,
Where my fears you will undress.
In my dreams, you possess me.
Tell me what you want to see,
The desires over which you obsess.
No place else I’d rather be.
Scarcely able to move or breathe,
Hands tempting with their soft press.
In my dreams, you possess me.
Bodies pressed to silken sheets,
Melting into each other’s flesh.
No place else I’d rather be.
When it’s done, little remains of me.
Heaving sighs escape as I finally rest.
No place else I’d rather be.
