I’ve always liked Alice Cooper for his very cool lyrics and his awesome talent, and I can feel compelled to continue doing so because he’s so… horribly cool. Cooper said in an interview with the canadian press:
“If you’re listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you’re a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we’re morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal.”
Amen to that man. But if you’re such a moron, how are we supposed to listen to you? Maybe we SHOULD be getting our political info from rock stars hm? *chuckle*
Of course, knowing Mr. Cooper, he probably knew someone would say that in response to his comments. … [Read More]
I do think that Kerry did miss an opportunity. And Herman Jacobs has a point, that now that the war of words over Vietnam has begun anew, the vets are not going to leave it alone. Kerry did say things that were used against our POW’s during that war. He should have apologized for it. He did not, and they are not going to let him have it both ways.
But… something that goes even deeper for me… was something that Nome said to me last night. “Have you ever personally seen a war hero? Would you know one if you walked into a bar and saw him sitting there with his beer? Of course not. A hero does not brag about his heroism.”

This week’s simultaneous plane crashes in Russia caused a stir in the media, just due to the fact that they were so close together.

I thought these crashes were a little too coincidental to not be acts of terror, but the possibility still existed that it was a complete coincidence. It seems that my initial reaction to this was correct.
My heart goes out to the Russian people and to the families of those that died on these planes. … [Read More]
This article has some good reasons why, if you haven’t already, you should upgrade to Service Pack 2 if you are running Windows XP.
Apparently Microsoft did a silly thing. They left the security permissions for My Computer wide open in windows.
Let’s make this clear, this isn’t a flaw just in XP. This is a flaw in every version of windows. So if you are still running ME, 98, NT, or 95, you are NOT safe from this bug. Since Microsoft is not issuing a patch for these older OSs, I am seriously considering switching to Linux, because it’s free and because I believe that there is such a thing as being overly user friendly. XP crosses that line, and how.
I just wonder if sony has released a version of sonicstage for any of the nix flavors. Gonna have to go e-mail them about that.. … [Read More]
