Student Arrested For Terroristic Threatening Says Incident A Misunderstanding

Holy.. shite. So the kid writes a short story about zombies over running a high school and gets arrested because he threatened terrorism? I absolutely… do not think so. Either the kid is lying, or he’s telling the truth and the police department in Lexington, KY has jumped to an absolutely ludicrous conclusion that allows them to think they have the right to arrest him on the basis of the content of a fictional tale.
What ever happened to freedom of speech? I believe that would be right here in the Bill of Rights, Amendment I.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press […].”
Presuming the kid in question is telling the truth, his arrest is a violation of the first amendment. And if this is legal, then someone needs to arrest Tom Clancy as well, and how about Robert Ludlum for that matter.
This whole thing is positively insane, it’s a creative work. If you agree, spread the word.
